1/0 (pronounced “one-aught”) welding cable is a heavy-duty cable commonly used in industrial welding setups, particularly when high amperage is required. It is rated for up to approximately 150 to 200 amps depending on the insulation type and ambient conditions. Its thick copper conductor and flexible rubber insulation make it ideal for use with large stick welders, MIG and TIG machines, or when extending welding leads for job site mobility. It’s also used in battery banks and inverter connections in off-grid and backup power systems.
